Kaspar Prince of Cats

This book is written by Michael Morpurgo.

It is about a boy named Johnny Trott who works as a bell boy at the Savoy hotel.
But when Johnny meets Kasper nothing will ever be the same again!
Kasper is a cat who first came to the Savoy Hotel in a Basket with his owner Countess Kandisky.
As soon as Johnny saw Kasper he absolutely adored him. Soon Johnny started looking after Kasper while the Countess was out, always having to be careful so he wouldn't get caught by the head house keeper, Skullface. Johnny never thought he'd have to look after Kasper forever !

Pretty soon, everything starts to change for Johnnny and Kasper as they go from hiding away in the servants attics, to going on an amazing adventure. But will Kaspar and Johnny survive theft, a rooftop rescue, a trip all around the world… and the sinking of the Titanic.

I thought this book was really good, my favourite part was when Johnny met a girl named Lizziebeth and they went through loads of adventures together. I liked this because it was exciting and interesting.

I thought the book could have been better if they had made the beginning more lively, because the first few pages were a bit boring and not very exciting.

My favourite character is Johnny because he is really brave, and very determined to look after Kasper and keep him safe no matter how much trouble he could get in.

I would give this book 4/5
