Running Wild

Running Wild is about a 9 year old boy called Will whose dad is killed by a bomb in Iraq. Will's school says that he should take some time off so, Will's grandma oraganise's a trip to send him and his mum to Indonesia, to take there mind off what had happened.

While they are in Indonesia, his mum tragically dies in a tsumani. The elephant that Will was on at the time, had sensed the tsumani and had ran into the jungle with Will.

I thought this book was really good because the story was written in 1st person, and you could really tell there emotions and how they were feeling.


I loved reading this book because I never knew what was going to happen next, although I didn't like it because I found it really sad when his parents died.

I would give this book a 4/5
